Blue Bloods: Last night was expected to be the final episode of Blue Bloods. But it’s just a farewell, as the long-running CBS family crime drama will be back for a third season.
The two-hour season finale attracted the largest audience of the night, tying for the demo lead with a 0.5 in both hourly segments and drawing the largest audience of the night with 6.82 million viewers in the second hour.
Adults 25-54 (0.9) and adults 18-49 (0.8) rated the family drama first (0.5).
This propelled CBS to an overall network win on the night. Despite a shaky lead-in from the news special The Queen Carries On, which only managed a 0.2, this is a strong showing.
This season, CBS’s first-run dramas have earned Friday in viewers last week (17 consecutive wins).
In other news, ABC’s Shark Tank, the perennial Friday night winner, has a new episode.
Two entrepreneurs who turned their floating grill into a contract were the big winners of the night.
The Blacklist maintained its 0.3 rating on NBC, while the mystery surrounding Elizabeth and Red Reddington continued to swirl.
